The MSD project

This virtual reality experience is a promotional and sales tool which immersively shows the action of a molecule.

Here is the 2015 Innerspace! This experience perfectly shows how VR can combine both theory and practice.

The brief / the challenge

The agencies Fullsix and Wildbox chose, on behalf of the Merck labs, VR to show the effect of their new molecule over a melanoma.
For the first time, witness the action of a medicinal product at the molecular level. This content was first presented during trade shows with its Oculus version, then it has been used as a sales tool with its mobile version.

The BackLight response

The most delicate aspect of this project was to reach an unprecedented level of rendering.

Backlight’s addition ? An experience available on several supports: an immersive event version with Oculus Rift and a general public one with a mobile 360° video.
